Buttons and Bows
Buttons and Bows Ltd. was one of the first shops in Yaya Centre and opened in 1988. It was the only Haberdashery in the area and has been serving loyal customers, schools, and NGOs for 30 years. They also specialize in tailoring; from small-scale mending work to large hotel curtain stitching. They have a wide array of materials and equipment that are used to craft the products including quilting equipment and sewing machines.
The director of the business, Mrs. Anila Patel believes the company can be best described as convenient, friendly and affordable. In 2019 she hopes to continue serving her customers as professionally as possible. She also plans to expand her business to target other retailers and begin a wholesale division.
Buttons and Bows joined SCAK to interact with fellow owners, exchange ideas, expand the opportunities and form a unity amongst traders. Her favourite book is Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert.
